We’ve decided on Albie for our DS, please no opinions on the name or any new suggestions as this is what we have decided on. We want a modern or Italian middle name. All ideas appreciate

Last name starts with S, so no name ending in s

How many syllables is your surname?

Bumblebeesmum · 23/02/2019 20:51

Albie Luca

Albie William
Albie Benjamin

Bumblebeesmum · 23/02/2019 20:54

Albie Georgio

I was going to suggest Rafael or Allessandro until I noticed the initials ! Grin

TheDisillusionedAnarchist · 23/02/2019 20:54

Albie Leonardo or Albie Leo
Albie Francesco
Albie Gabriele
Albie Lorenzo
Albie Luca
Albie Marco
Albie Daniel

Bumblebeesmum · 23/02/2019 20:55

Albie Caruso

HavelockVetinari · 23/02/2019 20:57

Is Albie the full name or is it short for something more normal? It's cute for a baby/toddler but I can't imagine a grown man with such a juvenile name.

HavelockVetinari · 23/02/2019 20:59

Posted too soon - what I meant to say is that, like PPs, if you're dead set on saddling him with Albie as a first name at least give him an option of a normal second name he can use in case he needs or wants to later.

elQuintoConyo · 23/02/2019 21:04

Yurdog.

It's Gaelic.

4point2fleet · 23/02/2019 21:08

Give him something he can use instead of Albie when he wants to write a CV.

Just ridiculous.

Albie Matteo
Albie Nico

Cbeebiesrehab · 23/02/2019 21:13

I think calling the name Albie ‘ridiculous’ is a bit extreme. It’s a perfectly normal name! In 20 years time all the CVs will read Albie/Alfie/Archie and names of a similar style and all the girls Evie/Poppy etc. IE names/ sounding names are very popular and future employers won’t bat an eyelid.

Bumblebeesmum · 23/02/2019 21:18

The OP was quite clear about not wanting negative comments so why do people find it so hard to be kind?

Upalln1ght · 23/02/2019 21:24

Albie Ren

Albie Gianni

LavenderBelle · 23/02/2019 22:03

We are considering Albert on his BC, but again I asked for no opinions on a name and it is definitely not ridiculous. If you don’t like it then move on, it isn’t your child and I understand that everyone has different tastes. This is mine.

We like Albie Luca, last name is one syllable

Albie Massimo

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 23/02/2019 22:11

Alberto Massimo?

Chlo1674 · 23/02/2019 22:11

I’d go for something simple like James as a middle name.

Chlo1674 · 23/02/2019 22:12

Sorry just saw you want modern or Italian of which James is neither Blush

Yorkiebar71 · 23/02/2019 22:18

A work colleague has just called her son Albie has got middle name Ray

LavenderBelle · 23/02/2019 22:18

I do like James @Chlo1647 but it sounds weird with our surname beginning with ‘S’ as I have a very mild lisp
