Help!

I'm pretty sure it's a boy I'm having and we can't decide on a name. We are both Scottish - one with irish connections.

So far I've got-

Fergus (my fav but husband thinks of Fergus McCann)
Cillian (like but a bit concerned it's very right now)
Callum (perhaps too popular)
Fraser (not 100% on surname names)

If it is a girl then she will be Morven.

Adding Cormac to the list!

It hadn't crossed my mind that Cillian and Saoirse were currently very famous actors! I think that might rule out Cillian for me as it just seems faddy 🙁

Caoimhin is lovely but it is KEVIN which is universally globally slammed. But it's better than Kevin of course. I don't get the hate for Kevin tbh.

Another name I like is Darragh but British people might think it was too close to Darren or might not be able for the fact that a male name ends in 'a'

Ronan

Euan works beautifully.

Favourite from your list is Fraser.
Cillian is a no from me because I don't like it much anyway, it will get pronounced Sillian, and it sounds like Kill.
Callum is nice but I think it might be a 'naughty boy's name'
Fergus is ok

I love Irish / Gaelic boys names!

I can’t click with Callum - makes me think of Callum best Grin

What about Colm?

I love Dara ! Fabulous boys name.

Fergus - super strong boys name!

Padraig - bit tricky to say. Paw-rig. Irish for Patrick.

Ronan is really lovely, but can you have a Saoirse Ronan Grin

Oh, another I love is ... Conn.

I do like Dara for a boy, but it so sounds like a girls name.

Cillian has really grown on me recently. I like Oran too.

Caoimhin is lovely but it is KEVIN which is universally globally slammed. But it's better than Kevin of course. I don't get the hate for Kevin tbh.

Objectively I think the name Kevin is lovely, but there are just so many connotations, it's strange really!
