Too Game of Thrones?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LordPickle · 16/02/2019 19:47

Please don't.

Fetching · 16/02/2019 19:53

Far too Game of Thrones these days.

OlennasWimple · 16/02/2019 19:57

I thought it was a made up name for Game of Thrones

So fine for a kitten, but not for a son.

Jonah is a proper name if you want something with a similar sound

Threenanger · 16/02/2019 19:59

I’m one of the few that hasn’t watched game of thrones...but I still don’t like the name Jorah...it seems made up to me.

TheClaifeCrier · 16/02/2019 19:59

It's from the Bible. I like it.

Cosmoa · 16/02/2019 20:25

Wondered if you'd misspelt Jonah

viques · 16/02/2019 20:32

wondered if you'd misspelt Jonah

Or Norah Grin

Seriously, don't, as others have said there are similar but better names.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 16/02/2019 21:00

It sounds like someone from Yorkshire or Manchester saying Jury

SlimGin · 16/02/2019 22:00

I don't see a huge problem with it however Joah is a nice alternative?

Thecreosotekid · 16/02/2019 22:10

Sounds like juror or dura (membrane covering the brain).

What about Jonah, Joah, Joby?

FindPrimeLorca · 16/02/2019 22:12

Oh I love Jorah in GOT. But no, no you shouldn’t.

donquixotedelamancha · 16/02/2019 22:14

Too Game of Thrones?

I don't understand. How can something be too Game of Thrones?

If I had a son he'd be called Tyrion.

FindPrimeLorca · 16/02/2019 22:14

It is also a name mentioned just once in the Old Testament in one of those huge lists, so you could argue that it is a real name, but you’d be clutching at straws.

PersonaNonGarter · 16/02/2019 22:15

I think it is fabulous (and I am very sneery about baby names)

Cbeebiesrehab · 17/02/2019 08:04

I know a baby Jorah. I do find it a bit too GOT but I quite like the sound of it. It sounds like a ‘real’ name. It’s also better than naming your daughter Kalessi!

Slowknitter · 17/02/2019 08:11

Hmmm - if you're going to choose a fictional name, Jorah at least sounds like it could be a real name and has a nice sound to it. I still wouldn't though tbh, even though I'm a big GoT (and Jorah) fan!
