Hi everyone,
What do you think of names Raya and Rayna for my little girl?
Which one do you prefer more?

I know a Raya who spells it Rayer and I'm not sure what I think of it.
I like Rayna but I'd spell it Reina personally.

Both lovely, Prefer Rayner.

I have only seen Reina as a spelling (Spanish for queen). Beautiful name when spelled thus, but I do think the "Rayna" spelling is not very pretty--Ray is like a middle-aged man's name. Raya ditto (and makes me think of "rayon," the fabric).

I like Raya best.

Sophronia · 14/02/2019 09:35

Prefer Reina

What about Raina? I really like this name and spelling, not keen on Raya

Calloway · 14/02/2019 11:45

Raya.

Peachbubble · 14/02/2019 14:48

I like Raya

I prefer Roya, if that helps.
Raya's nice. You could have Hope as a mn.

Love Raya! My daughters middle name is Soraya and we nearly used it as her first name but I didn't like the So-rye-ah pronunciation. But I call her (first name) - Raya all the time!

Cosmoa · 14/02/2019 16:08

Have also seen it spelt Raeya but I'm not keen on that.

aliceandkids77 · 15/02/2019 10:31

prefer Rayna because to me Raya seems unfinished. both darling though hun, good luck x

Rainer (pronounced the same) is my dad’s name - he’s Austrian.

It’s a very common name among Austrian/German/Swiss men of a certain age.

So for that reason I can’t at all imagine it on a little girl.

To me it would be like calling your daughter Steve Confused
