I'm due in 10 weeks, a little boy. We have a DD and her name came so naturally. We literally have no names for DS! No list, nothing. Every name just sounds wrong I can't explain it and starting to panic now! Throw all of your suggestions at me pleaseeeeeeeeeee Grin

What type of names do you like? Classic, American, cool, made up? Do you want to share your DDs name?

Nonameyet1 · 08/02/2019 14:52

Alex
Wilf
Nate

What’s DD? Do we know your ‘style’.

Sassenach85 · 08/02/2019 14:55

Sorry! Should have given more info. Feel weird sharing DD name but it's along the lines of Emilia....

I don't really like boy names ending with y or ie sound. Like Charlie or Louis

I think my issue is finding a name that will see him through childhood, adolescence and as a grown man. Some names only suit kids to my ears Blush

Edward

With DD I wanted something classy, slightly unusual and pretty. (It is more unusual than Emilia lol).

With DS ..... I don't know Confused

You've got 2 and a half months, don't panic Smile

pineapplebryanbrown · 08/02/2019 14:57

You have loads of time, you also have 6 weeks after birth to keep thinking. It took me 5.5 weeks to decide with DS2. I was stuck between 2 names.

Here's a few i like:

David
Peter
Max
Guy
Mark
Joe (Joseph)
Richard
Robert
James
Conrad

Do you like any of the above?

Sassenach85 · 08/02/2019 14:57

I met someone called Miles Rhodes once, i was the only one who thought it was funny.

How about Patrick?

Are you English or do you have any heritage to draw on for inspiration?

We picked Hugo for DS as we also wanted something to see him through childhood teens and adulthood, and also something a little bit different but not weird or made up... other names we had on our list were:

Jenson
Jesse
Max
Zane

Hope that helps !

pineapplebryanbrown · 08/02/2019 15:16

Walter (White) meth kingpin.

explodingkitten · 08/02/2019 15:17

Sassenach85 · 08/02/2019 15:19

We liked Leo but can't use ....

I'm Scottish but my DD name is sort of Spanish so open to foreign sounding names ... I like Nico but I'm afraid it sounds a bit like the local take away Blush I just don't know Confused
