Brenna, what do you think?

I heard this name a few years ago and fell in love with it. What do you all think? It's not very common but it has been around a long time. I'm Irish and google says there are Irish roots for it but yet the only person I know named Brenna is a girl from England.

Do you know what is worse than not getting a personalised gift shop pen?
It's a gift shop pen with almost your name on it.

Too similar to Brenda and may get shortened to Bren then people will assume Brenda. Not my cup of tea.

MikeUniformMike · 05/02/2019 16:46

Think of Brenna getting a pen with Brenda on it, or Lilly getting one with Lily.

God no. With all the beautiful Irish girls names.

TatianaLarina · 05/02/2019 17:36

... out there it seems a terrible shame.

I think someone will hate whatever you choose & you should try to take opinions for what they are....but that said Brenna is pretty horrific. I don’t think I’d even use it on a dog. It sounds like a good twin name for Bertha.

Cosmoa · 05/02/2019 20:55

It's pretty easy to get personalised stuff these days. Not a reason not to give an uncommon name!

Mrstwiddle · 05/02/2019 20:57

Don’t do it...your child will not thank you, it is far too similar to Brenda.

JenniferJareau · 05/02/2019 21:00

Tbh I'd think you couldn't pronounce the name Brenda.

Lucylou56 · 05/02/2019 23:35

I like it, I’m Irish living in the north of Ireland and I know two. One spelled Breanna and the other Brianna

ncforbabynames · 06/02/2019 00:19

It is nice - I did read Breanna when I glanced at the title, though.
