Brenna, what do you think?

I heard this name a few years ago and fell in love with it. What do you all think? It's not very common but it has been around a long time. I'm Irish and google says there are Irish roots for it but yet the only person I know named Brenna is a girl from England.

I like it. Unusual but easy to pronounce. I read a book series with a character called Brenna but not met one.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/02/2019 17:40

I don't like it but my opinion is neither here nor there.

confusedandcrazymother · 03/02/2019 17:44

No
No
No

Soubriquet · 03/02/2019 17:45

I’m not keen either but it is entirely your choice. Your baby.

As long as both you and your partner are happy with it

MollyHuaCha · 03/02/2019 17:46

Not the best name I've heard today.

Nonameyet1 · 03/02/2019 18:13

No! Sorry.

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 03/02/2019 18:14

Sorry I'm not keen

Looks like a misspelling of Brenda to me

Kintan · 03/02/2019 18:18

It’s not the nicest sounding name, but nor is it the worst. So if you love it, just use it. There will never be a name that 100% of people like!

CallMeRachel · 03/02/2019 18:18

My neighbours dog is called Brenna Grin

Bikinginsummer · 03/02/2019 18:27

To me it's a very ugly name - sorry.

SpottyPython · 03/02/2019 18:36

Jeez, I was expecting 50/50 as I know names aren't liked by everyone but it's more 75/25 against at the moment. I loved it as soon as I heard it but am a little nervous using it as I'm not really looking for an obscure name that everyone thinks is odd

Sorry. It's really not very nice. It reminds of Brenda, which is not a great name either (sorry any Brenda's out there).

Butterfly84 · 03/02/2019 18:56

Not my cup of tea at all.

Cosmoa · 03/02/2019 18:58

I absolutely love it! Really shocked it's not more liked!

DramaAlpaca · 03/02/2019 19:01

I quite like it, but the danger is that it would be misheard as Brenda, which has to be one of the dreariest names ever.

Cbeebiesrehab · 03/02/2019 19:07

I feels a bit ‘Game of Thrones’ to me. I don’t dislike it but I think you’ll be saying ‘No Brenna, not Brenda’ a lot.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 03/02/2019 19:24

Terrible.

StalePrincessofBelAir · 03/02/2019 19:26

I'm not a fan, but it's perfectly normal and would grow on people when they got to know the person attached to the name.

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 03/02/2019 19:28

Bren from Dinnerladies!!

ShadyLady53 · 03/02/2019 19:29

Not keen because it reminds me of Henna and Senna...

I actually knew an American girl called Brenna at school.

Hidingtonothing · 03/02/2019 19:34

I really like it but do think you'll get sick of saying 'no, not Brenda...' which would put me off, sorry OP.

Cosmoa · 03/02/2019 19:36

I don't think the Brenda confusion would be a problem, as you wouldn't expect to hear of a Brenda these days. Plus it's said differently.

Babyboysarenowbig · 03/02/2019 19:50

Don’t like it at all

3out · 03/02/2019 19:53

I think she’d have a lifetime of:
‘what’s your name?’
‘Brenna’
‘Brenda’
‘No. Brenna’.

SlimGin · 03/02/2019 20:01

Sorry also don't like it, not sure what it is exactly, as Briena (not sure on spelling) seems much nicer.
