Is Edmund just too ridiculous?

Have always loved this name, however, since mentioning it to friends and family I’ve received some negative feedback.

We do love the name Edward too, just prefer the sound of Edmund.

What are your opinions?

Like a pp said, makes me think of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. Unfortunately can't use with our surname but otherwise would be on our list. I love it.

I can’t really understand how anyone could find it ridiculous. It’s quite posh sounding to me but that’s about all - it’s a solid traditional name. People are weird. Ignore people.
