Hi peeps, I posted in the parenting section that I am expecting my 2nd child in March so now is the time to be thin of names.

So far, I've chosen a shortlist of 3 but wang a few more :). The names I've gone with are Andrew because I'm a big Tennis fan, Jonathan and Patrick :).

Just realised my typo in the thread title doh, that should say name for boy, not girl.

If you're a massive tennis fan and Andrew being the British player and not Roddick- I'd use Murray as a name over Andrew. I just don't like the nn 'Andy' and think it sounds quite 80s. Otherwise what about Rafael (Nadal), Jimmy (Connors), Connor, Stefan, Arthur (Ashe), Fred (Perry)

I like Jonathan, but not Patrick (is that after Pat Rafter?!)

Andrew, Jonathan and Patrick are all great! My favourite is Andrew.

They're all very dated to me I'm afraid. Not my taste. Like a previous poster said, if it's Andy Murray you like I'd go with Murray too! I really like it as a first name , it's on my list for our baby

They are all lovely names, classic and nice sounding.

However, I do liek the siggestion of Murray. That is a great name.

Love Andrew.

daisypond · 30/01/2019 12:21

I like them. All due a renaissance.

I like the three names, in the order you list them. Not keen on Rafael.
How about Peter or maybe Roger, after another tennis player.
