@sleepismysuperpower1 isn't Kai a boys name?

As in k-eye?

MamaDane · 29/01/2019 18:33

Kai Eric

Alicia87721 · 29/01/2019 18:35

I actually think it's a unisex name. Donald trumps granddaughter is called Kai. But I'm using it as a boys name x

Have you definitely decided on Kai? It's really chavvy. If you have to then I'd go with something more classic as a middle name like Edward or George.

sleepismysuperpower1 · 29/01/2019 18:37

whoops, sorry! someone i know has a little girl named kai (which i think is less usual than the boys version.) what about:

PippilottaLongstocking · 29/01/2019 18:40

Isn’t Kai an Arthurian name? A variant of Kay. I know it’s considered ‘chavvy’ now but I love it!
In fact Kai Arthur would work quite nicely

Alicia87721 · 29/01/2019 18:41

Yes I have Definitely decided on the name Kai. Like I read on another thread a name doesn't define a person. It's there upbringing that defines who they are not their name. It's just silly to label a name as u no someone with it who's "chavvy". I think it's a lovely name for both girl and boh. Not chavvy at all. I had a thread about 3 weeks ago about the name Kai. It actually got took down with the amount of nasty and rude comments that were made.

OP posts:
PippilottaLongstocking · 29/01/2019 18:44

I don’t hear it as chavvy at all, it’s such a nice, short, simple sound, very pleasing to say

C0untDucku1a · 29/01/2019 18:45

their upbringing...

It’s the Rooney’s oldest isnt it. Kai wayne.

Alicia87721 · 29/01/2019 18:49

You have no need to be so die and disrespected to correct me. Yes I made a mistake no need to correct me. I'm sure you understood what I was saying. Some people are so rude these days. I'm 17 years of age and every single time I write anything on this the majority of the people writing back have nothing nice to say but smart comments.

OP posts:
Alicia87721 · 29/01/2019 18:50

Sorry auto correct was suppose to say rude and not die. Thought I would correct myself before someone else comes along and wants to do it for me Grin

Kai is the boy in Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen”. It’s definitely a boys name. I’d choose a middle name that also begins with a K sound, like Kai Keanu or Kai Caleb.

Cosmoa · 29/01/2019 20:56

Don't get the constant rudeness over the name Kai! I thread about the name got so rediculous recently that it was removed.

I think it's a lovely name! Kaia is actually my favorite girl name so...

Kai James is nice Smile

IVflytrap · 29/01/2019 21:06

I like Kai. It makes me think of the little boy in the fairytale 'The Snow Queen'.

Kai Toby
Kai Jasper
Kai Frederick
Kai Solomon
Kai Vincent
Kai Francis
Kai Zachary
Kai Xavier

Ngaio2 · 29/01/2019 21:15

How many syllables does your surname have OP? That will affect the flow of the names eg Kai is very short so if your surname is also one syllable then maybe a longer middle name would go well.

Thistles24 · 29/01/2019 21:40

Ignore the “chavvy” comments OP. I asked if people preferred Fraser or Ross and was told by some posters that both were chavs names Hmm Didn’t put me off! Kai Evan or Kai James are both lovely.

SemperIdem · 29/01/2019 22:56

It isn’t a name I would use.

I would use at least a two syllable middle name with it.

So -

Kai Joseph
Kai Adam
Kai Torin (though that one sounds better the other way round really)

I tend to like one syllable boys names too so struggle with longer ones. All the ones I can think of are Biblical, oddly.
