Fallen down a rabbit hole of public records

Got a tad curious how many people named their kids the same as mine in the years they were born. Ended up stumbling across Scottish records and the name of every baby registered in a certain year. Some names though are super quirky.

Great idea op! I love looking at names in old records. I've come across lots of interesting ones while researching my family history. I love that I'm descended from a woman, very far back, called Mercy Bodle for instance - such a cute combination of first and last name.
