Carole. Not unusual just haven't heard a baby called that

Sophie-Sunshine. Her mum was Spanish and every time she said baby's name it sounded so pretty. Wouldn't pick it myself though

Dandelio · 02/02/2019 09:43

Sophie-Sunshine. How sweet

QuimReaper · 03/02/2019 17:13

Are we sure some of these weren't nicknames? Like Sophie-Sunshine?

VWpurse · 03/02/2019 17:18

Some of these are 2 - 5ish rather than babies. Apart from Kasper all the girls seem to have popular names or a hypenated first name with both name popular but not usually seen combined ie Ivy-Alexis and Phoebe-Grace

Cbeebiesrehab · 03/02/2019 19:14

By boys nickname is Chili-Boy! (the original Chili-Boy is an international rugby player)

Most unusual kids names I see regularly are Biff, Chip and Kipper. Four years since I first ‘met’ them, and I still haven’t got a clue which one’s which.

Jezzifishie · 03/02/2019 20:47

@3out - apparently their real names are Elizabeth, David and Christopher. Not sure how you get Biff, Chip and Kipper, but there you go.

I'm delighted to see the odd 70s/80s name creeping back in on these lists. DD has a very 80s name, the usual comment I get is 'oh, I've got an N - she's in her thirties now...'

HettieBettie · 03/02/2019 20:50

Alby for a girl

BusySittingDown · 03/02/2019 20:50

Jamiroquai.

Used to give me the giggles every time his mum yelled it across the playground.

BusySittingDown · 03/02/2019 20:53

Btw, it's been a looong time since I've been to toddler group so the child is probably about 9 now.

3out · 03/02/2019 21:50

@Jezzifishie I keep forgetting and think the dog is called Kipper 😂

importantkath · 03/02/2019 22:30

Over the years I have known a Zebedee, Wolfin Soul, Bram, Wilf, Abbacus, Jazz, Beau, Cosmo, Dante and Innocent (all
Boys).

Storm, Luchia, Autumn, Michael and Jessamy (all girls).

I do know of someone who just called their new baby Yo-yo. After a cellist.
