I love Atticus but am struggling to think of middle names to go with it. Ideas?!

Something beginning with B so he can be Batticus Grin

(Love the name, btw).

Why do you like Atticus?

tammytoby · 25/01/2019 12:10

Love Atticus! Why not use it as first name - middle names never get used!

Most first names would work eg
George Atticus
Quentin Atticus
Henry Atticus

I think it would get shortened to Ati, which I HATE, so middle name it is!

James.
Marcus.
Alexander.

spartacus!!

Seriously though with such an out there but great middle name, I'd go with traditional as a first name as I think it'll strike a good balance.

Alexander
Maxwell
George

Ooh Maxwell... Nice.

Sophronia · 25/01/2019 18:18

Edward Atticus
Leo Atticus
Benjamin Atticus
Henry Atticus
Miles Atticus
Oliver Atticus
William Atticus

Why would it get shortened to Ati? Who by? Just insist on people using his full name. As far as school nn go most boys end up getting called by their surnames or some random nn their clever friends come up with and I'm afraid you have no control of that. Just use Atticus if you like it it's a great name.

I know an Atticus who is known as Atticus. It's easy to say so and wouldn't need shortening

bridgetreilly · 26/01/2019 12:56

Michael Atticus
James Atticus
George Atticus
Philip Atticus
Peter Atticus
Edgar Atticus
Edward Atticus

Basically I think it works with almost any traditional boy's name that doesn't end in 'us'.
