Claudia and....

Two months away from having twin girls. For most of the pregnancy I’ve wanted to call them Claudia and Emmie. I’ve noticed I mostly have have had a positive reaction to the name Claudia but not for Emmie and I’m beginning to think they maybe don’t go together.

Would be grateful of any suggestions.

Emmeline or Emilia or Emily or Emma for the name on the birth certificate, Emmie for short, that would be the way to go. Just Emmie alone is quite nicknamey and doesn't match well with Claudia, perhaps that's why you're getting those reactions. Claudia is lovely BTW, so are Emily and Emmeline.

Emmie is cute but seems incomplete compares to Claudia, so I would go for
Emilia or Emmiline or Emma.

I think Claudia is beautiful. Emmy is ok but I don’t love it. I think you should stick to a 1-2 syllable name, preferably one that doesn’t also end with an -a sound.

Btw, I had twins too and gave up on my babes a month or so before birth. They were unnamed for a week afterwards! All the best with them.
