We have two boys, Malachi and Micaiah

We have a still born daughter named Mackenzie.

Our baby #1 will be Mataya

For her sister...

I like Marissa.

Ricekrispie22 · 23/01/2019 05:25

Martina?
Mariana?

Playdonut · 23/01/2019 05:29

Mavaiyah, Marianna would be my choices.

I like Mylia the best from your list.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 23/01/2019 05:44

Another vote for Mylia. Still the linking 'M' theme but different enough from Mataya to make it less likely that other people, say in a school setting, will get their names mixed up - even more important if they look very much like each other.

WrapAndRoll · 23/01/2019 09:07

I like Morgana and Marissa.

Clueing4looks · 23/01/2019 09:12

Malika

Is the middle syllable of Mataya pronounced like ‘eye’ or ‘hay’?

Kokeshi123 · 23/01/2019 11:37

I'm sorry about your stillborn daughter.

Do they really have to have M names? Siblings with similar names is one thing (not my taste, but fine if you like that kind of thing). But twins, being in the same school year, are very prone to getting mixed up or treated as a unit, even with fraternal twins let alone identical twins. Most twins, when asked about this kind of thing, are pretty adamant that it is better for twins to be given names that do not begin with the same letter (or that rhyme), in order to reduce these kinds of social difficulties.

Maia - or is that too close to Mataya?

Malia.
Margetta
Marguerita.
Maud - she could be nicknamed Maudie.
Michaela.

FeelingFlat · 23/01/2019 12:18

Mahalia

ReginaPhalange89 · 23/01/2019 12:49

I agree with the above poster about having all the same intials , especially twins. It's not to my taste at all, I'd personally choose different initials .

But of your list I like Marissa best

GB54 · 23/01/2019 12:52

Marina. Beautiful name!

Icklepup · 23/01/2019 16:21

Marina!

eachtigertires · 23/01/2019 16:27

Marissa or Marina.

Lucylou56 · 23/01/2019 16:59

Like Marisa, what about Melissa

Sophronia · 23/01/2019 22:50

I prefer the Mattea spelling to Mataya. Mattea and Marina would be lovely.

7salmonswimming · 23/01/2019 22:54

Am I right in assuming you’re a Jewish family?

I’d go with a name that doesn’t end in -a. It’s too much.

Having said that, I quite like Maura, so.... Blush

Butterfly84 · 23/01/2019 22:59

Marissa

MrsFoxPlus4 · 24/01/2019 01:51

Aren’t that all a mouthful. I really like Marrisa. My favourite M names are Malin & Myer though

percheron67 · 24/01/2019 02:37

Why all the M's? Try Matalan!!

Ngaio2 · 24/01/2019 23:01

Marina goes well because it’s sound complements the sound of Mataya, wiiout sounding too similar

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 24/01/2019 23:56

Marina.

Magissa · 25/01/2019 00:21

Marlita
