mrsdaisyodonnell · 20/01/2019 14:22

I’m speaking for SIL, who wanted help as she’s 27 weeks pregnant with triplet girls, two of which are identical and one who is fraternal. She’s being induced in 2-3 weeks and is desperate for names so please help!
Matilda- certain on this one
Pippa nn Pip
Harriet nn Hattie
Tess
Betsy
Violet
Charlotte nn Lottie
Middle names will be Madeline, Louise, Elizabeth, Rose or any of the others not used. Thanks ladies

Trixie, Pixie and Nightingale (the non-identical one)

Foraminutethere · 20/01/2019 14:32

They're all nice, good choices! Matilda Tess and Harriet for me. But all good!

RedemptiveCrocodile · 20/01/2019 14:34

I would choose names that have very little sounds in common. Matilda, Betsy and Violet.

RomaineCalm · 20/01/2019 14:35

I like Matilda, Harriet and Charlotte which could be shortened to Tilly, Hattie and Lottie.

In a similar vein what about Eleanor (Ellie), Elizabeth (Lizzie) or Alexandra (Lexie)?

finallychangedmyusername · 20/01/2019 14:43

Congrats to your SIL and you!
Lovely names - I prefer full names on the birth certificate so would have Elizabeth rather than Betsy and Philippa rather than Pippa.

Matilda Louise
Harriet Elizabeth
Violet Madeleine

Tillie, Hattie and Lettie Smile

IvyandStan · 20/01/2019 14:44

Matilda Betsy and violet 🙂

Shadow1234 · 20/01/2019 14:53

Matilda, Charlotte (Lottie) and Pippa go well together

Iwantmychairback · 20/01/2019 14:56

As soon as I saw triplet girls I thought
Harriet. Hatty
Matilda. Tilly
Charlotte. Lottie

Tubbykins · 20/01/2019 14:57

Agree with some of the above posters.

Matilda
Harriet
Charlotte

rosydreams · 20/01/2019 15:02

i like Harriet and Charlotte congrats your going to have many fun Christmases with 3 young girls running around lol

Inktank · 20/01/2019 15:08

Matilda Charlotte
Harriet Louise
Violet Madeleine

Ethel80 · 20/01/2019 15:14

I really like Matilda, Betsy and Violet.

rosyedith · 20/01/2019 18:20

Aw congrats! How lovely. I would go for Betsy, Matilda and Violet. Beautiful names

gentlyscented · 20/01/2019 18:22

Betsy, violet and Tilly (Matilda)

IHeartMarmiteToast · 20/01/2019 18:34

Love them all apart from Tess. I was over weight as a child and frequently called ten tonne Tess....

MumUnderTheMoon · 20/01/2019 18:36

Matilda Rose
Tess Elizabeth/ Tessa Louise
Betsy Violet

Lisabel · 20/01/2019 18:37

That's lovely!

I would go with:

Matilda (Tilly) Rose
Charlotte (Lottie) Elizabeth
Pippa (Pippa as Pip is too short!) Louise

Or if she wants to use any of the middle names as first names then:

Elizabeth Rose shortened to Betsy/Beth

I'm not keen on Harriet or Violet (which I think sounds like 'violent') but that's just personal preference.

Congratulations to your SIL :)

Nacreous · 20/01/2019 18:41

I would use the long Philippa on the birth certificate and shorten to Pippa/pip for everyday. Same for Betsy (Elizabeth).

I like Matilda, Charlotte and Pippa. I like Charlotte Madeleine, Matilda Elizabeth and Philippa Rose.

MsChookandtheelvesofFahFah · 20/01/2019 18:41

Hattie and Lottie are so common at the moment I'd avoid them. Love Violet (my grandmother's name), Betsy and Tess. Eliza would go nicely as well.

MariaNovella · 20/01/2019 18:44

Matilda
Charlotte
Violet

ReginaPhalange89 · 20/01/2019 18:47

Oh I like them all apart from Betsy! That one doesn't "go" with any of the others imo.

Matilda, Pippa & Lottie are so sweet together
Or
Matilda, Pippa & Tess .

GB54 · 20/01/2019 19:00

I don’t like Tess or Pippa.
Matilda Louise, Violet Elizabeth and Betsy Madeleine would be my picks.

mrsdaisyodonnell · 20/01/2019 21:54

I showed her all of these comments and although she loves violet she’s been put off by how it looks like the word violent and sounds like it, thank you for pointing that out Smile

Love Violet.

Matilda, Charlotte and Violet.

MondeoFan · 20/01/2019 22:16

Matilda, Betsy & Violet are best.

Mine would be
Violet, Betsy or Beatrice & Edith
