What where/are your Grandmothers called?

Mine were Elizabeth and Hilda. One is a great name that I'd use, the other not so much.

And my step nan was Vera

Gladys (known as Glad) and Ruth.

My auntie's in that generation are Connie (Constance), Lucille and best of all - Lurlene.

Violet and Doreen. Not expecting to see Doreen rocketing up the charts any time soon.

Mums mum - noone really knows ( probs not even her if you'd asked her when she was still with us !) she went by Agnes (aggie) but that wasn't her real name . I think it was Hattie .

What was with all that in that generation? No one seemed to be called by the name they were christened in

My grandmothers were Jane and Hilda. My step gran was Lillian, known as Sis.

I had a great aunt, down in Boscastle, called Iris. Apparently!
