Inspired by the Grandad thread!

Mine were Elizabeth and Hilda. One is a great name that I'd use, the other not so much.

Maternal: Mila
Paternal: Pamela

Mine were Betty and Anne. DH's were Betty and Satya, which I LOVE. We nearly called DD Satya, but decided in the end that with our punjabi surname, it was too Indian sounding for a kid who's only a quarter Indian and felt like cultural appropriation. I'm still iffy about whether that was the right decision but I do love her actual name.

Kate and Betty. My great-grandmother was Edith.

I’ve seen my DD’s name come up a few times now I’ve read through Smile My mum is a hairdresser, and when we said we had chosen dd’s name, she said “You can’t call her that! I do a lady’s hair who has that name and she’s about 90!” Hmm
If DC3 turns out to be another girl, we’d love to name her Mila after my Babcia. She’s still with us, and would be honoured Smile

My DDs have 3 names each and most have come up on this thread. I think just Erica is missing. It’s about the right generation though.

Some one mentioned a Dorcas Ellen, my Auntie Ellen is named after an Aunt Dorcas, but I don’t think she had children, but I could be wrong Smile
