Just interested in opinion for our baby boys name, due in April/ May. We are deciding between Noah and Oliver. Middle name will be Edward. Which do you prefer?

I much prefer Oliver.

Crushedvelvetcouch · 16/01/2019 13:12

Noah.

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 16/01/2019 13:14

Noah.
Hate Ollie, ds has Oliver as a mn only for this reason.

Peachbubble · 16/01/2019 13:37

Noah

Sexnotgender · 16/01/2019 13:38

Really don’t like Noah.

Oliver I like but not keen on the diminutive.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 16/01/2019 13:51

prefer Noah

Luckingfovely · 16/01/2019 13:53

Noah

tammytoby · 16/01/2019 13:54

Both very overused and quite dull as a result, sorry.

Inktank · 16/01/2019 15:01

Oliver

KirstieandPhil · 16/01/2019 16:53

I prefer Oliver but it's been the most popular boys name in England & Wales for what feels like most of my adult life

MikeUniformMike · 16/01/2019 18:13

Oliver. Both names are very popular but Oliver is the one not likely to date.
One shortens to Olly and the other to No.

SlimGin · 16/01/2019 18:17

I love Oliver, nn Olly is so nice, even if it is popular.

BackIntoTheSun · 16/01/2019 18:20

I like both but dislike Olly as nn so would choose Noah

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/01/2019 18:22

Oliver

Apileofballyhoo · 16/01/2019 18:30

I really like Oliver but not Ollie. But I don't like Noah at all. Edward is lovely.

explodingkitten · 16/01/2019 18:33

There are quite a lot of Noah's being born at the moment, Oliver is just as nice as a name.

cptartapp · 16/01/2019 18:39

Noah is my most hated boys name, it sounds like a strained protest! Oliver is rather dull but its preferable to Noah. Love Edward.

golddustwomen · 16/01/2019 18:42

I like them both. I love Ollie as a nn although it's so popular. There are so many ollies/Oliver's in my dds school, not sure if that bothers you though. I really like Noah too and it's not overly popular where I live.
Really haven't been much help here I know Blush

Sessy19 · 16/01/2019 18:44

I think Oliver has been the England number one name for ten years on the trot. I know a few Olivers and they are all twats!! 😂

I used to like the name Noah, but it’s a bit sort of frumpy and clumpy to me now...

Openandshut · 16/01/2019 18:47

Noah.

LMDC · 16/01/2019 20:30

I like both. I do prefer Oliver but dislike Olly.

MrsC87 · 16/01/2019 21:00

Noah is our preferred baby name so far. Maybe wait until birth and see whether baby is more an Oliver or Noah x

CarolinenotCarolyn · 17/01/2019 03:33

Noah.

RedDwarves · 17/01/2019 07:23

Oliver.

Oliver is a great name. I am not a fan of Noah.

MarchInHappiness · 17/01/2019 07:49

I really like Noah.

Oliver is just a bit naff, its the new Jack.
