Henry or Alexander?

After much deliberation we’re down to a choice between Henry and Alexander for DS2. We’d like something traditional/timeless but don’t want a “top ten” name that every other child in the playground will have. Henry and Alexander were #13 and #22 respectively last year or the year before.

I prefer Alexander.

Alexander

I know way more boys and girls called Alex that they end up being known as Alex T and Alex S.

Also, Alexander may set off Alexa!

So I vote Henry if I have to choose from those two.

Henry by a country mile- strong classic name

WisestIsShe · 14/01/2019 18:41

Both good but Henry would be less frequent.

I really like both but I feel I must warn you every single Henry I have ever known has been well rather naughty. Even a prince Henry (AKA Harry) was know to be a little naughty in his past!

Both great names but you have been warned Wink

Alexander

Alexander is a top ten name in Scotland - it's one of the reasons we didn't use it for DS - so I'd go for Henry out of the two.

Henry. Brilliant name Smile

Actually they're both pretty common these days.
