Kit, for a boy, what else may I like??

When I was pregnant with DD four years ago I loved Kit for a boy, but I’ve been put off it for very superficial reasons, mostly Wayne Rooney’s son has that name and my husband is a Man United fan so I don’t want people to make the link. It’s also become more popular amongst z-list celebs.

We have a long surname so shorter names tend to sound best. Middle name will be James. Other names we like but don’t love are;

Wilf
Patrick
Rafe

And that’s about it 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Why are boys names so hard???

Call him Christopher, nn Kit, a lot less naff than the Rooneys!

NorthernRunner · 14/01/2019 10:48

I did think that but I just worry it’s such a mouthful with our long surname hufflypuff

Incidentally I also liked Cedric, Percy and Harry but my husband said no 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not a fan of Kai or Jai. (How would you pronounce Jai, jay?)

Nesssie · 14/01/2019 14:26

Jai - J-i

But I've actually gone off it now I've written it down!

My current boy names are:
Noah, Luka, Phoenix, Riley, Theo

NorthernRunner · 14/01/2019 14:30

Boys are harder than girls I think!!

I’ve added a few to my list and will go through them later.

I’m quite taken with Jude, more than I thought. It’s also close to my mother in laws middle name (Judith) and I think she would love that

I also find boys names really hard and have two and a third due in May Grin
I have a Rafe and a Milo, and am swinging towards Otis for this babe. I also like Kit but am put off by the Rooney association and had Wilf on my list for Milo. Other names you might like, some of which I have on my list

Kitto
