Baby boy please help

Due soon and no agreement. Please comment on some of our potential names. Surname is plain short two syllables.

Matthew
Alexander
Benjamin
Gabriel (I love this dh not so much he thinks it’s a bit out there)

Any other suggestions feel free. Thank you

Alexander is the standout for me (and lots of short forms to choose between - at the moment I like Lex). James as 2nd choice, a solid classic that always feels likeable to me. Christian, Matthew and Benjamin are all okay, but not a fan of Gabriel which feels quite trendy to me.

I like all of those except Gabriel and Christian.

No particular reasons, I just like them or don't like them from personal taste.

I really like Benjamin and Alexander. Would happily use both! Benjamin the best of the list for me.
James is a good strong name too, but a little common.
Matthew feels a bit 30 years ago.
Not a fan of Christian or Gabriel at all. Both feel weak to me.

I like Gabriel.
How about Patrick. Luke. Joseph.

I like them all, so I'm not much help.

Actually I think I'd pick Matthew. There's not too many of them around these days & it's a lovely name that deserves a revival. I like Matthew James.

Other suggestions - Nicholas, Nathaniel or Thomas.

We have a Gabriel age 12 and it has become much more popular internationally in the last couple of decades, you hear it a lot more in the UK and US and I believe it is one of the most popular boys names in France at the mo. So really not “out there” any longer. Even Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger’s son Gabriel is about 20 now.

Christian - not keen because it's a bit too religious. Dislike the way some say it as Krisjun
James - perfect
Matthew- excellent
Alexander - great but there are lots of them
Benjamin - fine

You cant go wrong with James.
Its classic will never date. Yes its popular and i won't lie to you. They're everywhere and he'll probably be one of 3 or more in his class. However while its highly popular it's not faddy either. Plus it suits every age group and class.
I like Ben but not Benjamin
Christian is okay, not really to my taste.
Alexander see Christian
Matthew. I have an irrational hatred toward this name for some reason.
There's nothing out there now about Gabriel. Its becoming very popular.

Christian- i really like Christian and under appreciated classic. Can also be shortened to Kit too which i like

James - i really really like it

Matthew - find it a bit meh. Prefer Matthias

Alexander- i like if shortened to Sasha but bit bored of Alex and Xander

Benjamin- love it but not so keen on Ben. Love Benji
