We are expecting our baby girl soon and struggling to agree on a name! Her brothers names are Aiden and Shay so want something that will go with them. I really like Aoife or Maeve but it's my partners turn to pick name and he wants either Olivia Grace Darcie/Darcy Grace or Casey Grace. What ones goes nicer ladies??

Grace, no middle names.

Gumball54 · 10/01/2019 13:38

Olivia if the popularity doesn’t bother you.

ReginaPhalange89 · 10/01/2019 13:46

Casey is quite cute but don't like it with Grace. Sounds like Macy Grace the singer lol.

I like Darcy and Olivia but both are quite common, paired with Grace is even more common sounding . That might not bother you

Cfcmum1888 · 10/01/2019 13:50

Sorry should have said Grace is the middle name so won't really be ever used x

Olivia Grace.

I know it's very popular but I have yet to come across an Olivia and it's a very lovely name.

Mountainsoutofmolehills · 10/01/2019 13:53

They are boring names..... introduce some ones you like, without letting him think this is what you are doing. Be sly. He needs to think it's his idea :) You can't have a kid called Casey. That's an America boys name. Like Brad or Taylor

Icklepup · 10/01/2019 14:15

Love Maeve!
Out of his I'd say Darcy Grace

Peachesandcream30 · 10/01/2019 14:24

Don't let your partner pick..Olivia and Grace are soooo common! If I had to choose I'd go for Darcey, but like your names much more

Cfcmum1888 · 10/01/2019 14:29

It's only fair I let him pick. I picked both our sons names and I've always promised him if we had a daughter he could name her. Couldn't just tell him no now that's so unfair. And we are in Scotland so Casey is more a girls name here

My little girl is Darcie so I’m slightly biased, but I think Darcie Grace is lovely

HJWT · 10/01/2019 14:37

Darcie grace is a beautiful name.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 10/01/2019 14:42

Aiden Shay and Darcey
Sound gorgeous together.
Also like Olivia. Can't stand Grace. I the S sound that irritates me for some reason.

Cosmoa · 10/01/2019 16:04

I don't get why you're consulting with mumsnet if you're letting him choose!

Cosmoa · 10/01/2019 16:05

But of the 3 I like Casey best... (but don't like any in actual fact...)

Cfcmum1888 · 10/01/2019 16:23

Because cosmoa this is the names he likes and I've to pick one of them!

Grace as a middle name is a bit ordinary although it's ok.
Olivia - classic name but so popular, Liv is nice as a nn
Darcy/Darcey/Darcie - I don't like it - it's the Tracey of it's generation.
Casey - Surname. I know a little boy Casey who has a sister with a boy's name that is sometimes used for girls and I always get them mixed up.

Fundays12 · 10/01/2019 18:04

Darcie or Grace I wouldn’t use Olivia it’s really common I know 7 of them under 14.

MumUnderTheMoon · 10/01/2019 19:15

I love Darcie Grace it sounds so lovely much the nicest of the options I think. Olivia grace sounds great as well but Olivia is very commonly used at the minute I think. What about olive grace?

Shadow1234 · 10/01/2019 19:37

Darcy Grace is a lovely name and goes well with your other childrens names.

ChubRubTheStruggleIsReal · 10/01/2019 19:42

Olivia
Definately not Cassey

Otherwise their initials will be ASD.
Things like this irk me..... might be on the spectrum myself!!

uhtredsonofuhtred · 10/01/2019 19:43

I think Olivia grace sounds the nicest, i personally love the name Olivia and the fact it's popular wouldn't bother me but if you wanted an alternative I know an Alivia

Instamom · 10/01/2019 19:51

Casey Olivia Grace (I think Casey Grace needs an extra middle name and this sounds good)

I like Casey the best as the first name. Olivia has been so popular for so long so I wouldn't recommend. Also Casey goes nicely with her brother's names.

weegiehere · 10/01/2019 23:02

Maeve is lovely! What about Saoirse? Matches your other children's names well. Saoirse Grace would be lovely.

Astronica · 11/01/2019 03:27

I like your names more than his too. From his list I choose Olivia Grace Darcie. Olivia is lovely.

I don't think any of them are better or worse with the brothers' names - just choose the one you like.
