Celine thoughts?

Hi what are your thoughts on celine for a baby...
Is it classy/elegant?

Or does it remind you too much of celine Dion?

Or is it equivalent to naming your daughter “Chanel” because of the brand.

Why isn’t it more popular? Is it too weird/unknown for people. Will they know how to pronounce it etc.

I think it's a nice name, but would think Dion. But she's not as high profile as she was so her own generation probably won't make the association.

I love it and would consider it myself but I love Celine Dion!

In the UK, Celina would probably be misspelt as Selina. Neither name is very common though. I know a few Selina's who are 30's/40's but no girls with that name.

Selina is the spelling I know. Not fond of it personally.

I think it’s beautiful. I have a friend named Celine and I’ve never associated it with Dion or the brand.

I know an adult Celina and have never associated the name with Dion or the fashion brand. It never crossed my mind until you pointed it out

Honestly I think it’s too strongly associated with her for people to think of anything else on first hearing.

However - I think it is a very pretty, elegant name and Celine Dion is hardly a controversial person, so the association wouldn’t put me off.
