River for a boy?

My husband and I have this name on our shortlist for our little boy. I love it, but I worry that as he gets older it’ll become a bit inappropriate - like applying for jobs and stuff. What do you think?

I like it , but for some reason see it as more of a feminine name.

I like it. Nickname Riv is cool.

Makes me think of River Phoenix, so for mr the connotations are quite sad as he died so tragically

due to River Phoenix I thin its a negative name

I know a child called Afon, I think it's Welsh for river.

Nice name.
But then again I do like some "hippie" names, like Storm (extremely common for boys in Denmark), River, Summer, Willow, Sunny, Rose, etc.

I love it, it's on my list for a boy, but think I'll need to convince DH too. He is much more traditional in his name choices.
