Cassia by absolutely miles! I love it.

llangennith · 08/01/2019 21:49

Nice names but not keen on Cassia and Saige. Odd names and spellings.

howhowhow · 08/01/2019 22:22

I like fiona and felicity. Hazel is meh.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 08/01/2019 22:34

Cassia is my favourite and then felicity.

I only like Camilla and Serena. Camilla is such a classic, lovely name. And Serena is really nice and strong-sounding.

Fiona - ugly name (sorry). The ogre from Shrek.
Hazel- bleugh.
Cassia - okay but slightly hard to say and would probably be mangled by children in pronunciation.
Saige - the herb. Awful.
Felicity - the most wet fish their name their is.

Serena

AgathaMisty · 08/01/2019 22:44

Cassia and Saige are lovely.

Emlatte · 09/01/2019 07:35

Fiona - not a fan of this one
Camilla - nice
Serena - lovely
Hazel - nice, makes me think of the nut but that's not a bad thing
Cassia - lovely
Saige - prefer as Sage but feel it's a difficult one to say
Felicity - lovely

Overall you have some great names in that list

I love Camilla. I really don’t get why people say ‘hate it because of Camilla P-B’. There are so many names that could be associated with a famous person (and not a unilaterally loved one) but this gets singled out. When people meet a baby/ toddler/ child called Camilla are they really going to get stuck on C P-B?! No. The baby becomes the Camilla they know. There was a Camilla on Love Island (Blush) and it never occurred to me to think of C P-B.
Your baby’s generation are very unlikely to associate her quite so strongly with questionable behaviour re Charles/ Diana (if that’s what people are reacting against) and mainly just to know her as the wife of King Charles (hard to imagine as it is!!)

If I saw Saige i’d struggle to pronounce it because I would assume you didn’t want it to be Sage like the herb, but I wouldn’t know how to say it differently.

Marcipex · 09/01/2019 07:58

Serena sounds a bit whiny, I prefer Seren.
Camilla is nice, I never give PB a thought, to be honest.
Fiona is dowdy.
Hazel is extremely dowdy.
Saige, Autocorrect doesn't like it, hippy but not in a good way. Bit weird and will have to be spelt every time.
Cassia, I'm not sure how this is pronounced.

Wolf I think you are confused about Serena. It has been around in Western culture for a long, long time. It may be one of those names that coincidentally sounds the same as a name from another culture but actually has a different origin. Another example is Sarita which is both an Indian girls name and a Spanish name deriving from Sara, in the same way that Anita derives from Ana /Anna. As for Serena Williams being black that's not relevant. Her family were presumably using the Western name Serena. Most African-American people have Western names. Serena is absolutely fine for a white child, I like it.

I'd agree with pps that Saige is a bit odd. I like all your other choices though.

Marcipex · 09/01/2019 08:02

I think Saffron goes nicely with Lincoln, and has the herbs and spices vibe of Sage and Cassia.

TheToffeeTruckinTown · 10/01/2019 23:36

Hazel, Cassia and Camilla are my favourites

Astronica · 11/01/2019 04:12

Felicity and Camilla are both great names, and my easy favourites of these.

I don't like Saige and Hazel, the others are okay.

Peachesandcream30 · 11/01/2019 06:00

Love Cassia but don't like the pronunciation 'Cash-uh', only like "Cass-ee-uh". Which would you use?
