Emmy/Emily/Emerline

We've really struggled to name our DD2 who is now due in a matter of days.

We both like Emmy , but looking for views on whether we go with Emily (put off slightly by its popularity), Emmeline (open to mispronunciation) or just Emmy (is that a name?)

Her sister is Orla.

What about Emilia or Emiliana?

(otherwise I'd go for Emily and I'd spell Emerline as Emmeline)

I’d go with Emmeline. Don’t like Emily but love Emmeline and Emmy is the perfect nn.

I vote for Emmeline too! I think it’s gorgeous. It was on my shortlist of girls names. Emmy is a nice nn.

What about Emma? That’s not as popular as it used to be! I’m a big fan of Emilia. Emmy is nice on it’s own. Or what about Esme?

Emilia?? Tho it may get confused with Amelia.
I know an Emmy. I think any of the longer versions are preferable as a birth cert name, with Emmy as a nick name.

Emmeline is gorgeous and pretty straightforward to pronounce I would think? Emerline looks a bit made up to me, like you didn't know how to spell emmeline.

I'd put Emily, Emma, Esme or Emilia on the bc and call her Emmy. I'm not such a fan of Emmeline (please spell it this way), but I'd prefer Emmeline over just Emmy.

Emilia is too close to the ubiquitous Emilia for us.
