Middle name help

So I posted before the other day for help with mine and OH's shortlist for our first baby girl due in April.
We're now pretty set on Josephine as a first name (Josie or Jo for short) though equally not going to make full decision until birth just in case somehow it really doesn't suit!
Now however we've moved on to thinking about the middle name and am looking for ideas...

Would love something feminine but quite simple like Alice but our surname begins with M so a little worried with initials spelling JAM. OH likes Harriet but not sure it's that feminine/goes that well with Josephine....Trying to think of a short pretty feminine middle name that won't spell anything- any ideas? Two syllable surname that goes with most names really.

I like alliteration so Jane or Jean spring to mind. Short and sweet, contrast to longer, elegant first name.

How about not having a middle name at all? I don't, my children don't, and it's easier.

Josephine Marie
Josephine Louisa
Josephine Grace
Josephine Dawn
Josephine Frances
Josephine Jane

Thank you these suggestions are helping!

Love Elise, Emilia, Eliza, Lucy and Rosa as ideas. Like Delilah too but keen to have a not so out there middle name as a back up option in case our child really hates Josephine and wants to get completely away from it!

Interesting g to hear that not everyone thinks the initial spelling thing is bad- how bad do people generally reckon JAM JEM or JIM are as initials?

I think the initials Jam are fine, middle names aren’t really used that much. And Alice is lovely

Lomondstripe · 05/01/2019 23:27

I think it needs 3 or 4 syllables -
Josephine Eleanor
Josephine Catherine
Josephine Isabelle
Josephine Penelope
Josephine Alexandria
Josephine Cecilia
Josephine Juliana
Josephine Ophelia

BaronessBomburst · 05/01/2019 23:30

Josephine Lucy is nice.

I wouldn't say JAM are bad initials to have. Quite sweet, in fact Grin
