Don't have long to go and DH and I still can't decide. What do you think of:

Felicity
Clementine
Fleur
Clara
Sunday

Felicity is lovely, I also like Clementine

EloisaJane · 04/01/2019 22:12

Like Felicity and Clara. I think Clementine is a bit much, very posh sounding.
Sunday is actually lovely although very unusual.
Really don't like Fleur, rhymes with bleurgh.

MamaDane · 04/01/2019 22:12

Love Clementine.
Clara is nice too.
Don't like the others. 😊

steppemum · 04/01/2019 22:14

Felicity, Clementine and Clara are lovely.
I don;t lioke the sound of Fleur.

I think I would only use Sunday if she was born on Sunday!

DramaAlpaca · 04/01/2019 22:16

Clementine, Felicity & Clara are all lovely names.

I don't like the sound of Fleur unless in a French accent, and Sunday is a bit daft.

BurtTyrannosaurusMacklin · 04/01/2019 22:17

Really dislike Fleur. It sounds Terrible in certain accents (pretty much any non-French accent really), Sunday I'm not sure about. My instinct was "no", then I thought about it more and decided it was quite sweet, then thought "would I like my name to be Sunday?" and have decided that I don't think I would. The other three are all lovely, nice and unusual but not weird or "out there" - the perfect balance in my opinion!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/01/2019 22:17

Sounds silly as theres very litgkey difference, but I quite like Clair-a but not Cl-ra. Dont know how you're planning on pronouncing it.
Felicity. Love it. Makes Me think of fairies and magic gardensGrin
Don't like Clementine. I love the actual sound of the similar name Clemency. Its just the meaning I couldn't get past.
I really don't like Fleur or Sunday.

pinkpanther84 · 04/01/2019 22:18

My dd is called Fleur, beautiful name Smile

Ikeameatballs · 04/01/2019 22:18

In order of preference:

Felicity
Clara

Sunday

Clementine

Fleur (hate)

Ikeameatballs · 04/01/2019 22:19

Oops, unfortunate cross post. Sorry pinkpanther84, didn’t mean to offend.

ErrolTheDragon · 04/01/2019 22:20

Felicity is good, Fleur and Clara are ok.
Clementine I can't quite get past the fruit and/or 'Oh my darling..'
Sunday is plain weird. I can't imagine any other day of the week working either.Confused

kalefire · 04/01/2019 22:22

Ah i love Fleur

I really like French sounding names. My abso faves are Estée and Lenor but the soft rinse and Estée Lauder put me off :(

MissLanesAmericanCousin · 04/01/2019 22:23

Sunday, is my favourite. It is sweet, uplifting, innocent and makes me smile when I say it. Not to mention, it is unusual, so she will most likely be the only one in her class to have it. Congratulations, btw! Smile

WhiffOfBath · 04/01/2019 22:24

All beautiful except Sunday, which is ridiculous.

comebacksoonsusan · 04/01/2019 22:25

Clementine

comebacksoonsusan · 04/01/2019 22:25

Sunday is silly.

zen1 · 04/01/2019 22:27

Not keen on Sunday, but like the others (love Clemmie as a diminutive of Clementine).

ZebraKid71 · 04/01/2019 22:27

I like the look of fleur written down but thw sound of it I really dislike.

Clementine I absolutely love, it would be on my list for Dd2 but the two I know of both get called clem/clemmy which really puts me off.

MrsReader · 04/01/2019 22:29

Felicity 💖

Shadow1234 · 04/01/2019 22:59

Clara is my favourite on your list

TheLastMermaid · 04/01/2019 23:01

I love Sunday.

TheLastMermaid · 04/01/2019 23:04

(the name, obvs)

Astronica · 04/01/2019 23:06

I really like all the names on your list. They are all lovely and very usable. My favourites are Clementine, Sunday and Felicity. These all have delightful personality and are really appealing to me. To choose between them I would consider how good they sound with the surname, possible middle names, sibling names, and possible nicknames you would use.

PinkAvocado · 04/01/2019 23:09

I think Clemmie is awful (Clammy Clemmie) so Clementine is out for me.

Fleur I quite like but now someone pointed out it rhymes with bleur I’m not so sure.

Sunday opens itself up for ridicule.

Clara is ok.

Really like Felicity!

mondaysaturday · 04/01/2019 23:10

Sunday is gorgeous. So is Clementine (esp if pronounced with a "teen" at the end not a "tyne"). Only issue is it being shortened to Clem, which is maybe less nice.

Clara makes me think of the annoying Dr Who character. Felicity is nice, I think, but a bit middle of the road.
