Thoughts on Camilla? Too much association with Camilla Duchess of Cornwall?

Camilla and Sophia?

Thanks

Cassandra.

There are two Camilla's in the school I teach and both get called 'Parker Bowles' even though half the kids don't know who cpb is! They just know the name. By their friends they are Cammie and Mills.

Camilla is a very normal name where I'm from, in my generation at least, so wouldn't think twice of it here, but not sure how it's seen in the UK.

Don't think you should be bothered too much by someone famous having that name. It's not like Madonna or Adolf Smile

Go for it.

Please stop starting multiple threads about the same names!

CloserIAm2Fine · 26/12/2018 22:06

Sorry, I will actually comment on the names Blush

I like Cammie as a nickname, not sure I love camilla though

DramaAlpaca · 26/12/2018 22:12

I thought from another thread your DD's name was spelled Sofia Confused

I'm out.

champagneduvin · 26/12/2018 22:22

@dramaAlpaca how observant! It’s just because in the last thread there was too much focus on how sophia/sofia was spelt. And I’m not looking for suggestions of advising to spell Camilla the continental way of Camila- to match “sofia”. Hope that makes sense Smile

@champagneduvin why have you created so many threads about the same thing? Why not just stick to one rather than clogging up this board?!

champagneduvin · 27/12/2018 04:42

@tropicana I know I know! But I can’t seem to edit posts to add additional questions. Hence having to create a new thread for each new question.

Just comment in your original threads with the updated info, looking for thoughts on it. You don't need a new thread every time.
