Serena. It's the simplest, the meaning (peaceful) is lovely.

I dislike the aia/lia/lie sound of the others, especially Emilie which looks like a misspelling (Emily or Emilia) so the poor woman would spend her whole life correcting people, presuming you're in the UK.

Serena and Maria

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 26/12/2018 07:22

Where’s Lara gone? Is it off the list?

PsychoCrayon · 26/12/2018 07:23

Lilia from your list but if Amelie was amelia then it would be that.

Mynameisntmaud · 26/12/2018 07:45

Serena
It's classic, lovely sounding, uncommon but not weird
Suits all ages

thighofrelief · 26/12/2018 07:49

Serena - lovely meaning. Or Selene/a (moon).

Lobsterquadrille2 · 26/12/2018 07:51

Serena. Lovely name and I only know one, who is seven.

YouSetTheTone · 26/12/2018 07:59

I think Serena and Maria are both lovely. Pretty but not twee, and slightly unusual but only because they’re not over-used.

I like the name Emilia but agree with pp that Emilie looks like a mis-spelling of either Emilia or Emily. Sorry.

I prefer Lilian to Lilia but it depends if you’re after a ‘Lily’ nn or not. If so I’d go for Lilian as it’s less cutesy as a formal name but if it’s the overall sound of Lilia you like then obv you should go for that!

TheLittleDogLaughed · 26/12/2018 08:00

Maya or Maria.

champagneduvin · 26/12/2018 08:17

Sorry yes Lara is still on the list! I accidentally removed it 🙈

Lara or Laura are streets ahead of the others.

Icklepup · 26/12/2018 09:35

Maria

WrapAndRoll · 26/12/2018 09:44

I like Maria best. It's a classic name which has a flowing sound but isn't "frilly". It's underused at the moment and due a comeback.

I also like Serena, and Emily with a y.

Yohooo · 26/12/2018 09:47

Serena or Maria.
Lara is nice too.

The Emily/Amelia etc names are too popular for me.

Sophronia · 26/12/2018 22:19

Maria or Lara.

brusselsproutfan · 26/12/2018 22:21

Amelie
Pretty and not over popular like Amelia (Millie)
It has a lovely sound to it

lynnepot · 26/12/2018 22:21

I've always liked the name Serena/Serene. My favourite from the list anyhow.

Astronica · 27/12/2018 00:41

Lara is my favourite - smart, simple, stylish. I also like Amelie - lovely sounds and less common than Emily/Emilie, though I also like this. Maia is ok but seems over-used. Serena just suits some people (I wouldn't like to be called this) though it's nice enough - I'm wary of names that wouldn't suit so many people.
