K-s-an-thee is the correct pronunciation. It's a Greek town. I've been there lots.

Zan-thee ❤️❤️❤️

CarlGrimesMissingEye · 21/12/2018 19:47

What @ILoveDolly said. The 'th' sound is in the words think, thorough and throat.

I know a Xanthe. She's lovely.

SheldonandPenny · 21/12/2018 19:48

Actual pronunciation in an English accent is Ksan-thee. But it'll be Anglified to Zanthee. Definitely not ay but ee

In the uk I'd pronounce it zan-thay.

In Greek I'd pronounce it ka-san-thee

Lumpy76 · 21/12/2018 21:14

As I have a child with this name and I am of Greek decent I can confirm that the Greek pronunciation is “uux Ann thee” but the normal pronunciation that we use is “Zan thee”
