I've heard some mixed opinions on this name.
What does everyone think?

I LOVE it!! My DH vetoed it for my ds Angry

RedDwarves · 21/12/2018 20:05

Nope. Sylvester will always be a cat to me.

ZebraKid71 · 21/12/2018 20:37

I do really like it, though I would never use it.

TigerDroveAgain · 21/12/2018 20:39

Middle name Tweety?

ColdCrumpetsandButter · 21/12/2018 20:41

For a kitten yes.

NonaGrey · 21/12/2018 20:42

Noooooooooooo.

Youcancallmeval · 21/12/2018 20:44

Lots of ancestors in my family called Sylvester - Romany name.

Mesmeri · 21/12/2018 20:51

Perfect for a baby born close to New Year.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 21/12/2018 20:52

I just want to start singing “You make me feel mighty real.” 🎶 sorry :(

Phebes · 21/12/2018 22:01

Don’t like it. I like Sylvan though.

CrookedMe · 21/12/2018 22:02

I'm sorry, I think it's dreadful. I could never see a tiny beautiful newborn baby and think 'yup, he's definitely a Sylvester'

BinkyBuntyFintyCunty · 21/12/2018 22:03

No

Triskaidekaphilia · 21/12/2018 22:37

I'm not keen on the full name but like it for the nn Sly!

SallyWD · 22/12/2018 08:00

I quite like it but I imagine a teenage lad being quite embarrassed by this name

Luckingfovely · 22/12/2018 08:16

It's awful

Santababyclaus · 22/12/2018 08:24

I really like it. It's on our list Blush

swimmerforlife · 22/12/2018 08:29

I don't like it and reminds me of Glee.

SorenLorensonsInvisibleFriend · 22/12/2018 08:32

McCoy

17caterpillars1mouse · 23/12/2018 08:50

I really like it but spelt Silvester (not a fan of Y's in names for some reason)

Its a well known, recognisable name with history but very underused. Perfect

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 23/12/2018 15:05

It's pretty cool actually.

GemmeFatale · 24/12/2018 18:25

Love it.

Sadly there is no chance DH will agree to putting it on our name short list

Cazastrophe · 30/12/2018 03:33

No, it just conjures up ‘cat’ to me
Although Sylvester McCoy and Stallone...
Sebastian is nice (if not reminded of The little Mermaid!)

Myshinynewname · 30/12/2018 03:40

I don’t like it sorry. Too long and fussy to be used in full and I hate the nickname Sly.

WhatOnEarthDoIDoNow · 30/12/2018 03:44

The cat or Stallone?

DramaAlpaca · 30/12/2018 03:44

It's hideous.
