My sister is pregnant and considering the name Reed for a boy. I think it’s unusual and more of a surname than first name. Her hubby is a big fantastic four fan. What do people think?

If spelt Read then yeah definitely a surname.

As for Reed.... it’s not the worst but I don’t get it. Wouldn’t want that as a name, it’s just a bit weird.

I don’t really like it but it’s not the worst name to me. I would spell it Reid though myself.

I really like it, but think it should be spelt 'Reid' as other poster suggested.

I've known a Reed - he was a brilliant musician, so I've got quite a high opinion of the name!

I love it

This is cool! Love a nod to a cult figure :)

I really like it but prefer the Reid spelling.

Icklepup · 19/12/2018 17:09

Should spell it Reid.

ZebraKid71 · 19/12/2018 17:14

Definitely the Reid spelling. I have never heard it as a first name but I like it! It's different but easy to spell, pronounce etc.

Cazastrophe · 20/12/2018 00:01

It would be spelt Reed as it’s a family surname also.

Reed is the best and most intuitive spelling imo.
