I really like the nickname Saffie for a little girl but dislike Saffron as the full name. Does anyone have any other ideas that Saffie could be short for?

Sapphire?

But it will be associated with absolutely fabulous - no reason that should bother you but just making sure you're aware

Absolutely everyone of say 30 and up will think you were Ab Fab inspired and assume you see yourself as Eddy.

If you like Saffie, why not call her Saffie ? it doesn't have to be short for anything.

@BuffaloCauliflower and anyone under 25 will associate it with 'Saffy B' saffron barker on YouTube that is all the rage with my nieces at the mo!!

My beautiful friend who is no longer with us was called Saffie - her full name was Safina

Safiya is nice - it's Arabic and means pure. I know a Turkish Safiya. You can spell it as Safia or Saffiyah as well. I prefer this or Saffron to Saffie, which I'm not keen on - makes me think of staffie dogs.

I actually really like Saffie/Saffy as a stand alone name!

Safiya Nygaard is a pretty big name youtuber. I think it's a good name.
