Our DD is going to be Lexi/Lexie but we can't decide on spellings? Help?

Lexie. Although I think it’s best as a nn for an Alex.... name

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 18/11/2018 10:19

Lexi for me but I wouldn’t gasp in shock at either spelling

MollyHuaCha · 18/11/2018 10:24

Alexandra. Nn Lexie.

daisypond · 18/11/2018 10:45

Lexie - if short for Alexandra/Alexis/Alexa etc.

MrsChristianTrevelyanGrey · 18/11/2018 10:48

Lexi but I think both are fine :)

NerrSnerr · 18/11/2018 11:07

I'd spell it Lexi but would make it a shortening of Alexandra

TidyDancer · 18/11/2018 11:17

Could you go for Alexandra or Alexia and have Lexi as a nickname? They are much nicer more formal names and Lexi is a cute nickname for a child.

MrsCar · 18/11/2018 11:19

Lexie

MikeUniformMike · 18/11/2018 12:44

I'm not keen, but would go with Lexi. nn for Alexis?

Shadow1234 · 18/11/2018 12:49

Prefer Lexi without the e. (and you dont need a longer name just so you can shorten it to Lexi - if thats the name you like, then go for that name).

Methvenie · 18/11/2018 12:52

Short for Alexandra/Alexis/Alexa. It becomes your dd’s choice how she wants to spell it.

KeepCalm · 18/11/2018 13:03

We have Alexandra known as Lexie

Icklepup · 18/11/2018 13:08

Lexi

DramaAlpaca · 18/11/2018 13:10

Lexie

-autocorrect is insisting on Lexus

TropicalGiraffe · 18/11/2018 15:16

I would go for Lexie, it looks more complete. Agree I'd also make it a shortening for Alexandra or Alexis or Alexia.
Avoid Alexa - the amazon Alexa may just be a fad but it could also become a common household object name like Television so not worth the risk!

TatianaLarina · 18/11/2018 15:42

Neither. Awful.

lebkuchenlover · 18/11/2018 15:44

I don't like either spelling, sorry

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 18/11/2018 16:29

I would have Alexandra on the birth certificate to give her the choice of using a beautiful name.

Sophronia · 18/11/2018 22:25

Alexandra nn Lexie

mothertobe789 · 18/11/2018 22:47

Lexie, lovely name x

HotMessMama · 22/11/2018 18:20

I prefer Lexie.
Lexi to me looks unfinished, like someone forgot to write the ‘e’

spreadmarmznotmisery · 22/11/2018 18:27

Someone said to me 'sexy lexi' once so that name is ruined forever

cptartapp · 22/11/2018 18:30

Don't like either but love Alexandra.
