Barney or Barnaby for a boy?
DP is completely set on it
I’ve got absolutely nothing that I particularly like
Daughter thinks it’s awful 😂

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My cousin has a Barnaby nn Barney. And an Edward nn Teddy.
I have to say my childhood rabbit was Barney!

Sophronia · 15/11/2018 16:40

I prefer Barnabas, but I think Barnaby will be liked more.

ZebraKid71 · 15/11/2018 16:44

Also prefer barnabas, but barnaby of the two.

RavenWings · 15/11/2018 16:55

Barney. I'm not overly gone on it, but Barnaby is OTT and too fussy imo. You could just call him Barnaby and use Barney as a nickname.
MN will probably like Barnaby.

Shadow1234 · 15/11/2018 17:20

Not really to my taste tbh - but if I had to choose out of the two, I would go for Barney. I do think that your DP should be prepared to compromise though if you are not loving it.

lebkuchenlover · 15/11/2018 17:57

I prefer Barnaby

Dolly49 · 15/11/2018 18:55

I’m not totally against it but I’ve literally got no alternatives to even suggest?! 🤦‍♀️
I honestly can’t find a boys name that “grabs” me, absolutely nothing!!
And I’m due in two weeks so the pressure is on 😂

I like Barnaby with Barney as a nickname. Although I do think of the big dinosaur named Barney lol or Barney from How I met your mother.

bridgetreilly · 16/11/2018 09:38

Barnaby or Barnabas is fine. Your daughter does not get to decide.
