Louis Joseph (don't like the Louie spelling). Though Remy is a nice name too!

TheGrassIsGreener3 · 14/11/2018 15:42

Louie Joseph 100%

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 14/11/2018 15:48

Louis.

lebkuchenlover · 14/11/2018 16:50

Louie Joseph is lovely!

Louie is a much better spelling in the UK as everyone will pronounce it Lou-ie! (As opposed to the French name Louis that is often pronounced Lou-is outside France)

lebkuchenlover · 14/11/2018 16:51

Sorry you didn't ask for opinions on Louie vs Louis. I got confused because a previous poster misspelled it.

Flamingosnbears · 14/11/2018 16:53

Louis Joseph

Thank you. I totally agree. Saw it spelt Louie and liked it so much better. As wouldn't want Lou-is pronunciation.
And Louie is around 45th on name stats and Louis is 85th ish. So clearly more popular.

Like both but Remy is more unusual. (I know a young lady with this name, but spelt Remi, so I think it works well for male and female).

stellarfox · 14/11/2018 20:29

Louis - as Will and Kate have just used this spelling I really don’t think you will get many people mispronouncing! Really not so keen on the Louie spelling

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 14/11/2018 20:49

I really think Louis is better than Louie in spelling- anyone who pronounce Louis Lou-is is thick!

SallyWD · 14/11/2018 21:22

Louie

Sophronia · 14/11/2018 21:38

Remy is better than Louie but Louis is better than both.

firsttimemumma89 · 14/11/2018 22:32

Thank you for your opinions.
Do you think Remy has turned into too much of a unisex name? When checking the name stats theres almost as many girls Remy as boys.

lebkuchenlover · 15/11/2018 08:36

I prefer Louie.

RiverTam · 15/11/2018 09:10

I would have assumed Remy was a girls' name, but I think it works for a boy as well.

SharedLife · 15/11/2018 09:41

Louie for sure, and I much prefer the spelling. It's a valid Americanised spelling, not like it's just made up.

Sessy19 · 16/11/2018 06:49

I would assume Remy was a girls name, even though it’s a recognised boy name too. Just those first few months when a baby’s gender is Unclear...

But I’m not a fan of Louie or Louis, but of a wet name for me I’m afraid.

firsttimemumma89 · 16/11/2018 09:03

Thanks everyone!
Its so hard as just knew with Noah's name that was the one but this time I just don't feel like anything is "the one".
Ruled out Remy as feel its too girly.
Still like Louie...... or how about Joseph as first name or does it sound too biblical, Noah and Joseph?
