Would like to decide but can't

I like this sort of name.

What do they make you think of?
Are they a bit meh?

Do you know many small ones

We know a small Jasper and a lovely grown up Fraser. Both great names.

Fraser is great!

catsinmybump · 14/11/2018 16:06

Lovely opinions so far ❤️

Can I ask, where is a Jasper a wasp?

When I've searched that name it always comes up that it's what you call a wasp

I reallŷ love the name Fraser.
Not keen on Jasper tbh. (never heard of anyone referring to a wasp as a Jasper though).

lebkuchenlover · 14/11/2018 16:47

I'm not keen on Jasper either, it sounds a bit comical to my ears and not very strong.

Ricekrispie22 · 14/11/2018 17:40

I much prefer Fraser.

Cactus3 · 14/11/2018 19:16

Love Jasper, don’t like Fraser. Otherwise maybe Felix? Rex? Monty? Arlo?

Clueing4looks · 14/11/2018 19:16

My sister has newborn twin boys called Fraser and Fletcher. That’s the only Fraser I know (but a few with the surname)

Jasper is ok but I can’t help think ‘carrott’ when I hear it.

Hunlife · 14/11/2018 19:18

I like Jasper and Casper

Picknickers · 15/11/2018 00:38

I'm originally from Dorset and my family call wasps Jaspers. Lovely name though...as is Fraser.

Cbeebiesrehab · 15/11/2018 15:04

We were going to name our DD Jasper if she had been a girl. OH had gone off it by the time we had DS though so went for Jude instead.
Like both Jasper and Fraser and feel like they are in the ‘well know but not too common’ camp.

TatianaLarina · 15/11/2018 23:20

Love Jasper, know a really cool one.

I reckon the wasp association may come via Latin Vespa (wasp).

madmumoffourBHTJ · 15/11/2018 23:25

My DS is called Jasper. We were torn between that and Noah. DH didn't like my other choice which was Elijah.

bridgetreilly · 16/11/2018 09:37

Fergus
Angus
Casper
Jonas

ReverseTheFerret · 16/11/2018 12:42

Fraser does tend to get people still (and I'm surprised considering how long ago the programme was) assuming it's Frasier and a hell of a lot of "oh you mean like in the shop House of Fraser" type queries when spelling it.
(Brother has the name. He did go through a tragic young-teen phase of insisting on answering to the nickname "Fraz" as a warning!)

WobbleTime · 16/11/2018 13:02

I like Jasper. And also Casper. Or is it Caspar? Not sure.

I know an adult Casper and he’s fab.
