We are welsh and live in Wales. Not sure which one we prefer?

I prefer Rhydian, but Rhodri is nice too.

JaiNotJay · 11/11/2018 22:26

I prefer Rhodri, I'm not Welsh though.

Mamimawr · 11/11/2018 22:30

Do you live in a Welsh speaking area? Rhodri is probably easier to pronounce for non Welsh speakers.

FairyFantastic · 11/11/2018 22:36

Omg these are amazing names OP! No wonder you are struggling.
Rhydian wins just slightly for me, but honestly they're both great

Heratnumber7 · 11/11/2018 22:44

I'm Welsh and I love Rhodri.
Not so keen on Rhydian.

I also like Meredydd and Gruffydd.

Didyeeaye · 11/11/2018 22:47

I like Rhodi best

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 11/11/2018 22:49

I live in Wales, love both your choices.

FogCutter · 11/11/2018 22:51

Rhodri

Joinourclub · 11/11/2018 22:51

I’m not welsh and I prefer Rhodri.

Joinourclub · 11/11/2018 22:52

But that could just be because I associate Rhydian with the one from the X factor years ago! A slightly out of date reference!

DuchessAnnogovia · 11/11/2018 22:53

I'm Welsh, and I love the name Rhydian

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 11/11/2018 22:56

Love Rhydian. Not Welsh.

Picknickers · 12/11/2018 00:35

Rhodri because I have a slight crush on Rod Gilbert.

AornisHades · 12/11/2018 00:38

Rhodri.
Welsh living in England.
Doesn't work with our surname but it was one we considered.

Sophronia · 12/11/2018 04:57

Rhodri

ladybirdsaredotty · 12/11/2018 06:52

My only reference for Rhydian is also the X-Factor years ago, I haven't heard of it before or since. But I'm not Welsh and don't live in Wales so that might not be relevant! My vote is for Rhodri, though Smile

confusedandemployed · 12/11/2018 06:54

I know lots of people with both names. I've always preferred Rhodri. I think it's a lovely name and ages well.

lucieloos · 12/11/2018 08:44

Great thank you, most seem to prefer Rhodri. There's also the option of Tomos if that makes a difference?

ladybirdsaredotty · 12/11/2018 09:11

Ooh I love Tomos! Either are great, OP!

Dychmygol · 12/11/2018 09:22

I'm Welsh and love the name Rhydian, although agree that Rhodri is easier to travel with.

I have a soft spot for the name Tomos too...you've basically chosen three of my favourite boys names!

lucieloos · 12/11/2018 09:44

Ohh how to decide?! I do like all 3 as well. I was initially thinking maybe Tomos as a middle name but I do like it as a first name too. So...

Rhydian
Rhodri
Tomos

One of those for first name and one for middle name?!

OP posts:
NoMalone · 12/11/2018 09:46

Rhydian! Much nicer. I am not Welsh but have endured many episodes of Wolfblood where one of the characters is called Rhydian and I always think it's lovely.

KittyLikesMagic · 12/11/2018 09:48

Rhodri Tomas is LOVELY. Rhydian is nice but despite not being an x factor fan at all, that's the first thing I thought of!

lucieloos · 12/11/2018 09:58

Yes I'm quite liking Rhodri Tomos

Rhodri Tomos sounds gorgeous OP
