June Muriel Nesta?

Just asking for a bit of fun, that will most likely be her name. I'm booked in for a section on Monday so we're pretty settled on this name just wanted to canvas some opinions. June is personal for me and my husband (met and married, my birthday, both our star signs Gemini and Cancer are in June and we found out she is a girl in June), Muriel is the guardian angel of the month of June (and Cancer star sign) and my husband's late grandmother's name and Nesta is my late great grandmother's name.

She may get fed up of being asked why she is called June when born in November

I was about to say the same as Twisque - June Nesta Muriel is much nicer

Well I don't know about 'hate' but she might resent you. I don't think I'd have been too happy with my parents if they'd picked those names for me.

How about Jenna Muriel Nesta instead?

You still have the Guardian Angel significance with Muriel and a slightly different name for her first name.

I don’t think June is due a comeback. I know at least three of my mother’s generation (in their 70s and 80s.)

I agree with PPs who say the names are too much about you and not about your baby as an individual. I HATE the name Muriel, but I like Mariel. Far less frumpy. Nesta is weird and ugly.

I reeeeally don't like those names but it's upto you! I'd definitely be miffed if those were my names.

why not Nesta June Muriel?
June is quite old fashioned but not quite old fashioned enough, IYSWIM
Muriel- difficult to spell and pronounce
Nesta- sounds like it looks, simple, plain, not trendy, no bad associations that I'm aware of and has family history

Nesta just makes me think of Nesta Bough. The poor woman left at home while her husband Frank is out ...ahem...boffing anything within reach !

It's just a set of contrived word associations isn't it? I wonder about this naming process involving a lot of convoluted reasoning and find it reaching at the best of times. You went from June because Confluence of Significant Events happening in June, ok fine, but then Muriel because it has June connection plus added bonus of dead relative and Nesta because no June connection BUT another dead relative? It's just trying to hard to make this sequence happen when it only has any meaning that even you have to stretch for. Your poor daughter will spend her life having to try and keep people awake as she recounts this very tedious tale of why she has this string of not very attractive names.

To be honest if I was your daughter I'd be disowning you and changing my names asap.

When I hear Nesta, I just think of gritty 1980s drama Connie which featured Pam Ferris as Connie's bitchy sister Nesta

My mother's name was Muriel and she didn't have a middle name. Family used to call her Mu - pronounced Mew.

The names are fine individually but I always think it’s nice when names seem to flow when you say them together. These do not go together at all - what a ridiculous mouthful.
