Like Albie...

DP LOVES Albie.

I really do like it too but I really don't like nn on the bc and would prefer him to have the option of a more formal name. (No offence to those who have chose more traditional nn for the full name!)

I just can't get on with Albert or Alban I'm afraid.

So if we like Albie, what else might we like?

I have been through so many lists that my head is spinning.

Alban? Albus?...

We liked Freddie but wanted a more formal name on bc. Didn't like Alfred or Frederick though so went for Wilfred. Now he actually gets called Wilf!

Albie, Archie, Alfie are all quite trendy and may start to sound dated soon.

I would choose a more 'substantial' name personally.

Thanks for all your replies.

Don't like Albin or Albus I'm afraid. I do quite like some of the other names that have been mentioned here though so thank you. Nothing quite meeting the mark yet but a couple to ponder!

Abel?
DD is Alba and I call her "Albie" a lot which is strange now I know it's a name.
