What do you think of the name for my baby boy?

He sounds like a future formula one driver

2128Cl · 03/11/2018 23:15

I like it!

LinoleumBlownapart · 03/11/2018 23:15

I don't think you should give out your surname! Axel Emanuel is nice but I like it with one m. I assume the surname is Spanish, so one M fits better.

JungDisciple · 03/11/2018 23:15

Maldonado 🤔 that is weighty sur name. Like Bad Gift. Is it the sur name?
I quite like axel though.

JosellaPlayton · 03/11/2018 23:15

I take it Maldonado is your surname? If so you might want to get this post taken down as it’s quite unusual and might be identifying...

But since you’ve asked Axel isn’t a name I’d use myself but it’s very cool. Emmanuell should be spelt Emmanuel (or Emmanuelle for a girl) but it’s a nice name.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 03/11/2018 23:16

You're spelling Emmanuel wrong Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 03/11/2018 23:16

I think it sounds really really try hard cool sorry. I also don't like either name individually. Sorry op

Longdistance · 03/11/2018 23:17

Sophronia · 03/11/2018 23:19

If maldonado is your sur name im sorry for your troubles.

Shock

Open your mind! It's a common Spanish surname.

Santaisgettingbusy · 03/11/2018 23:23

Premier league footballer... Bloody go for it op!! Very impressive imo!!

Budgieinaberet · 03/11/2018 23:24

I thought footballer too

JungDisciple · 03/11/2018 23:24

yes, I know, but it means ill-favoured. It's not that common.

SpaceTea · 03/11/2018 23:26

It sounds great!
Definitely going to be some sort of sports star in the future with a name like that.

JungDisciple · 03/11/2018 23:27

My mind is ''open'' thank you but I don't like the name. I presume it's ok not to like the name. ''I'm sorry for your troubles'' is a jokey comment.

LinoleumBlownapart · 03/11/2018 23:36

JungDisciple I know two people with the surname. One from Nicaragua and one from Chile. It's not a favourable meaning true with Mal in it, but it is what it is and meaningless in the UK. No worse than the surname Pratt. If it is not the OPs surname, then that was unnecessary.

JungDisciple · 03/11/2018 23:39

Ok noted. Now lighten up

LinoleumBlownapart · 03/11/2018 23:41

Ok I will!

VisitorsEntrance · 03/11/2018 23:45

What about Balonz?

JeanPagett · 03/11/2018 23:55

I'm not sure about Axel, it's a bit Guns'n'Roses and engine grease for me. That said, I can see why people think it's quite a "cool" name, you just have to hope your DS will be cool enough to pull it off!

SallyWD · 04/11/2018 07:56

I much prefer Emmanuel to Axel

Petalflowers · 04/11/2018 08:00

I thought rock star also, but great name.

NotANotMan · 04/11/2018 10:37

Are you raising the kid in the UK? If so I would go for a more neutral first name. Axel is a bit out there.
