Name suggestions for our boy!

Hi all, found out at our 20 week scan yesterday that we’re having a boy!

These are the names we like, Reuben is the favourite at the moment but I welcome any suggestions that we hadn’t thought of!

Reuben
Henry
Elijah
Caleb
Arthur
Elliot

I’m not keen on names that are hugely popular but also not keen on names that are too ‘out there’.

Thanks!

Reuben is lovely!

userabcname · 03/11/2018 15:29

I love Henry but it's very, very popular. I also like Caleb which I think fits your criteria quite well. Reuben is ok although quite popular in my area - I'm a teacher and definitely at least 2 in each year group - but not sure how it sits nationally.

Reuben is my baby boys name he’s 3 months now. Everyone loves it and says its quite unusual.

Congratulations!! Smile

Henry and Arthur are both top 20 names.

There are lots of little Elijahs around my neck of the woods. Lovely name though.

Love Henry, Elijah and Arthur. They are all fairly popular but lovely names so don't think it matters too much

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/11/2018 19:23

I love Elliott and Reuben.
If you don't want anything too popular forget Arthur, they're everywhere.

ViennaWaits4You · 03/11/2018 23:49

I love Caleb, not too keen on Rueben.
How about Tristan

Elliot, Elijah and Caleb (in that order)

LipstickTraces · 04/11/2018 04:55

Eliot or Eiijah
There were two Reubens in the NICU with my twins a few months back. It’s getting really popular.

Icklepup · 04/11/2018 09:43

Henry or Elijah

Polkasq · 04/11/2018 09:59

Reuben - OK, reminds me of the word rueful though
Henry - good classic name
Elijah - great, strong and stylish but not faddy
Caleb - dislike, clunky and odd rather than interesting
Arthur - fusty and faddy
Elliot - wet and surnamey

Eli
Nathan
Angus
Solomon/Sol
Daniel
Leo
Alexander
Peter

LipstickTraces · 04/11/2018 11:46

I do like Eli. It was the second boys name I picked for my twins (but I didn’t have two boys in the end)

brads88 · 04/11/2018 13:29

I have a Henry - it was top 20 when he was born (last year) but he's the only one in his nursery.

I've just had baby no 2 and if she had been a boy would have been an Arthur - so those two names get my vote!

I also LOVE the name Caleb!!

starkid · 04/11/2018 17:23

I like Elijah most from your list

Hermagsjesty · 04/11/2018 17:24

I really like Reuben. Have you considered Ezra?

Gobletoffire · 05/11/2018 15:32

@hermagsjesty I have actually considered that, potentially as a middle name as it was my grandads name!

Thanks for your suggestions everyone! Got some more to add to my list now xx

Ruben is great or how about Roman? It's a little more unusual...
