If you’re determined to get some alliteration into her name, look more deeply at names with a ‘ph/f’ phonic in the 2nd syllable?

Ophelia has been suggested but there are lots more. I quite like Euphemia (nickname = Mia?) which has a great story, and some nice churches named after her! Pronounced ‘U-feem-ya’ in English and ‘Oo-fem-ia’ in many euro languages.

It’s a bit out there, but that doesn’t seem to be an obstacle for you! PLEASE don’t go with Phelonie for your baby girl. Just buy a goldfish, if you love it that much.

There are many great suggestions, jesting aside, for a perfect name. Leonie is great. Melody. Fenella. I thought of Antonia or Naomi.

@user34903583908 - I think Fenella is a lovely name, and there are some other good F/Ph names suggested on here.

I really, really wouldn't use Phelonie - it looks as if it should be pronounced felony, as in criminal act, and if you want it pronounced differently, you will spend your whole life explaining this, which is your objection to Persephone.

@WhyOhWine has posted a list of very good names.

Call her Theoni, Theodora, Theodosia, Thea, Thelma, and move some place where THs are Fs.

Problem solved, best of both worlds.
