Greta or Norah

Think it's down to these 2 for girls. Which do you prefer and why?

Greta. Partly because I had a lovely aunt called this, and she was very elegant.

Partly because of Norah used an exclamation (bloody Nora!) or Nora Batty.

However, it is probably time to reclaim the name!

Oh I love them both! Norah just pips it for me though.

Norah for me but I like them both!

I know 6 Nora(h)s under three if that would put you off.

Neither, but Greta is better 😆 if I had to choose.

Nora is awful but would make a cool babe for a hamster.

I prefer Greta, not sure why though, sorry. Do like Norah, just not as much.

I prefer Norah. Greta has that harsh sound to me, same as Gretchen!

Love both. I don't think you can go wrong with either. If I had to choose I think I'd go with Greta

Greta, but only because it's slightly less horrible than Norah.

I'm really not keen on either. Probably Greta. It has some oomph about it. But it feels like a "pretend we're an Austrian milkmaid" name to me, a bit fake. Nora/Norah is just very dull and then there's "flaming Nora, etc".

Norah makes me think of Norah Jones, singer. Nice enough but a bit boring.

I have just discovered that I love Greta. It's beautiful and strong and cool, and Norah is nice, but it's not Greta.

Definitely Greta! Although I’m massively biased as I have a very lovely 10-month-old one. We’ve had so many compliments on her name and are so glad we picked it from our ridiculously long ‘shortlist’!

Greta for sure, then again I really dislike Norah so most would be better

I love both but I think Greta is the stand out name.

Norah, Greta sounds a bit harsh to my ears, plus I knew a beautiful soul called Norah many years ago
