Baby girl name - stuck between 2

Hi! Me and my partner are stuck between 2 names for our first baby - a girl. We've finally narrowed it down from a massive list but are now totally stuck.
Middle name Jean after my grandma
So it's either

Aria Jean

(I like the meaning 'air' and it's a very pretty name that goes well with the surname and it is also similar to my gran's name Maria (Italian))

Or
Rosie Jean

(My favourite flower and think the name is really pretty and it goes well with surname)

Thoughts, anyone?

Congratulations on narrowing it down!

Rosie Jean for me.

I think personally I would go for Rose, Rosa or Rosalind nn Rosie. Give her some room to grow. But tbh I know plenty of adults called Rosie, and she could always use Rose as a nn if she wants too, as it's shorter anyway.

AtticaRose · 27/10/2018 11:32

Rosalie is the other one I like - knew I was forgetting one.

Peachbubble · 27/10/2018 11:34

I prefer Rosalie Jean

Sophronia · 27/10/2018 11:40

Rosie Jean, but I would prefer Rosa Jean “Rosie”

deptfordgirl · 27/10/2018 12:27

Rosie Jean

BertrandRussell · 27/10/2018 12:28

I love Rose. You can call her Rosie, but she can be Rose if she wants to be more grown up...

BertrandRussell · 27/10/2018 12:29

Rosamund is lovely too- the Rose of all the World...

Aprilislonggone · 27/10/2018 12:29

We have an Aria - she is a dog!!

Creepyexgirlfriend · 27/10/2018 12:38

Rose Jean

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 27/10/2018 12:41

Both lovely names but Rosie flows better in my opinion

DramaAlpaca · 27/10/2018 12:42

Of the two I prefer Rosie Jean, but I'd go with Rosa, Rosanna, Rosalie or similar on the birth certificate just because they sound more grown up than Rosie.

jq28 · 27/10/2018 12:44

Aria jean 100%

BewareOfDragons · 27/10/2018 12:49

The only problem with Aria Jean in your case is that your grandma's name was Maria, and Aira is Maria with the M fallen off ... so why not just go whole hog and name her after grandmothers entirely...

Rosie Jean is less problematic in that sense, so i would probably go with that. Although I personally don't like Rosie.

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 27/10/2018 12:50

Genie Rose Aria Wink

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 27/10/2018 12:50

Or, Rosaria Jean

missmouse101 · 27/10/2018 12:52

Rosie Jean. Don't know how to pronounce the other one!

MajorArcana · 27/10/2018 12:52

Rosie

MajorArcana · 27/10/2018 12:54

Rosemary with Rosie for short would be a lovely nod to the grandma.

Aria was very of the moment, a while back. When Pretty Little Liars was popular. It is dated already. And I wouldn't know how to pronounce it. Italian ah or a south of england elongated ahhhhwria.

MikeUniformMike · 27/10/2018 13:10

Rosie Jean. Rosemary is a bit prim, I don't like Rosalie. Love Rosalind.

MikeUniformMike · 27/10/2018 13:10

Aria is faddy and will date badly.

Cherries101 · 27/10/2018 13:11

Rosalie Jean is ok

hellsbells552 · 27/10/2018 20:28

Another for Rosamund!

SolveigSleeps · 27/10/2018 21:20

Rosie Jean

moredoll · 27/10/2018 21:57

Rosie
and prefer it as a nn for Rose, Rosa, Rosalyn or Rosalind

not keen on Aria - it's a song from an opera.

SuperstarDJ · 27/10/2018 22:00

Rosie Jean

(Though I’d go for Rosa Jean)
