I have one. So obviously love it. Not met another one (lots of girls though - so if that bothers you, maybe rethink). He gets called Robbie / Rob too which is a nice nickname.

I disagree that it's mainly a girls' name. Girls called Robin were unheard of in this country until not long ago. That's an American import.
Robin has been traditionally a boy's name here, often a diminutive for Robert.

I dint like it based in the Robins I've known.

Sine I e in RL did mention to me that it's "wet" which I can see, but wouldn't be my reason for not using it.

They'd probably be Rob/Robbie by high school age.

I'm not sure I think of it as a 'strong' name for a boy. If you love it it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks though!
