Rufus and Robin (plus Reuben)

What are your thoughts on Rufus and Robin (both for boys, individually not as siblings)

Also how many, if any, Reuben's do you know? Is it mega popular?

I really like Robin.
Not too keen on Rufus, sounds like a cat/dog name.

I like Reuben but think there is a spike in popularity. I know of 2 born in the past few months.

I know 3 born in the last year, but it’s a gorgeous name so who cares.

I love Robin! I know a few Reubens but they are 2/3years old and I like Rufus but it feels like it should be shouted by a really posh lady in a reallllyy posh voice 

I don’t like Rufus or Robin but l adore Reuben! I know one 3 year old and another that’s 30 (the younger one is British, older one is American).

I love both Rufus and Robin, not so keen on Reuben, it's a bit 'blah' for my taste.

What about Rory, if you like R names?

I like both Robin and Reuben. Not so keen on Rufus

There are 2 Reubens in my daughter's class and one in my son's class. I much prefer Robin as it's nowhere near as popular these days.

I love Rufus loads. Robin is a bit wimpy imho and Rueben is ok.

Rufus is ace. Robin is wet, Ruben is nice enough

Rufus means "red haired", in case that's a consideration. Reuben is a delicious sandwich. The adult Robin I know gets fed up with having to say that they are female - it's one of the few truly unisex names

I know Robins male & female between the ages of 26 & 1. Know no people called Rufus only a dog. I don’t know any Rubens

Robin is the only one I like. And I really like it.

Love rufus and Reuben - dislike robin. Agree with pp that sounds very wet?

Love that people say you can't have rufus because it sounds like a dog - but robin is ok. Robin sounds like a bird to me 🤔

I like Robin but the only male Robin I have met was a bit of a nerd at school so that’s the image I get, the others were female Robyn’s. Rufus is better a dogs name.

Reuben is nice. I went to school with one and DS has one in his year at school (year 4).
