I'm still a while off so will happily accept more suggestions too!

Boys

  • Sylvester
  • Eden
  • Remus
  • Oslo

Girls

  • Quinn
  • Mika
  • Nova
OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Shadow1234 · 21/10/2018 20:55

Only like Eden on your boys list
Love all your girls names. (Do they all sound ok with your surname?)

Shadow1234 · 21/10/2018 20:55

Sorry posted too soon.
Matching with the surname would help me either keep or dismiss from the list.

JosellaPlayton · 21/10/2018 21:04

Boys

  • Sylvester - the cat, don’t like this at all
  • Eden - lovely for a girl, if it was on your girl’s list it would be my top pick
  • Remus - professor lupin from Harry Potter, not really my cup of tea but best of (in my opinion) a bad bunch
  • Oslo - city in Norway, I think this sounds really silly

Girls

  • Quinn - like this a lot
  • Mika - ok
  • Nova - don’t like the sound of this, older people might associate with the shitty Vauxhall car
wouldHAVEshouldHAVEcouldHAVE · 21/10/2018 21:08

Love all your girls names. Boys names not so much.

Eden is feminine,
Sylvester is a cartoon cat,
Oslo makes me think of Onslow from Keeping Up Appearances.
Remus is very HP but the best of a bad bunch.

Eatmycheese · 21/10/2018 21:12

@wouldHave nonsense! Eden is used for boys and girls. It is a lovely name for a man.
Eden for the boy
Not keen on the others

Like Nova think it’s pretty, Mike so so, but Quinn is uncomfortably close to Quim need I say more.

Eatmycheese · 21/10/2018 21:13

Mika even 🙄

wouldHAVEshouldHAVEcouldHAVE · 21/10/2018 21:17

I do actually know a teenage boy called Eden but I know more girls who are called it so I associate it with girls.

RedDwarves · 21/10/2018 21:51

The only one I like is Quinn.

The boys names all leave a lot to be desired, and Nova and Mika simply aren't to my taste.

RavenWings · 21/10/2018 22:17

Boys

  • Sylvester - the cat, or Stallone. No.
  • Eden - is more feminine than masculine to me but ok on a boy. I'd also be saying this is my top pick from the list (but for a girl).
  • Remus - ugh, one of those names for Harry Potter fans who don't have much personality beyond their fandom.
  • Oslo - lol.

Girls

  • Quinn - NO. Bog standard Irish surname.
  • Mika - reeeelaaax, take it eeeeeaaaassyy... I'm not keen but it's ok. Mira?
  • Nova - also not keen but ok.
Pemba · 22/10/2018 01:37

Sylvester - not really, it's a cat or Stallone, or the actor McCoy from old Doctor Who. And what would you call him for short? Sylvie?
Eden - lovely name FOR GIRLS.
Oslo - ridiculous, Otto or Oscar maybe?
Remus - yes, like this one.

Pemba · 22/10/2018 01:41

Quinn - no, surname and sounds like quim.
Mika, wasn't there a male pop star called this a few years ago?
Nova, sounds like a robot or something science fictiony.

So I would say boy Remus girl Eden.

queenbeetofive · 23/10/2018 11:43

Not a fan of any of them tbh
But will suggest
Boys-
Evan
Rico
Lias

Girls
Estelle
Roma
Faline

IzzyGrey · 23/10/2018 11:54
  • Sylvester - no, I think of the cat
  • Eden - I think this is a girl's name and sounds very feminine
  • Remus - I don't like this, and you'll get constant harry potter questions
  • Oslo - like the city?! Why?!

Girls

  • Quinn - this is ok but like a pp said it does sound like quim
  • Mika - I don't like this either, it's a bit meh
  • Nova - this is really cool!
